![]() ![]() It wasn’t until we were developing the story that we realized that this would fit perfectly into the Watcher Paradigm and warrant its own series. The Dragon King actually started out as a standalone story about the first emperor of China from a spiritual perspective. Chronicles of the Watchers, then focuses on stories that may carry that paradigm into the Gentile nations to show how that spiritual reality may look in what is normally the unseen realm of history. In that series, I included the “Watcher Paradigm,” that is, the understanding of Deuteronomy 32:8-10 and Daniel 4 and 10, where the nations are ruled over by supernatural divine beings or “gods,” by the decree of God himself. ![]() Why did you feel it was the right time to start a new series?īrian Godawa: The Chronicles of the Nephilim was based on the premise of retelling all the stories in the Bible where giants appeared or were crucial to the theological War of the Seed of the Serpent and the Seed of the Woman. Mike Indest: Brian, the new book The Dragon King starts a new series. ![]() Since I reviewed the last book, I thought an interview would be in order to catch up with Brian. #THE WATCHER CHRONICLES BRIAN GODAWA SERIES#The new book is called The Dragon King and the new series is the Chronicles of the Watchers. I reviewed his latest book in the series Jesus Triumphant for Down the Line and was really looking forward to the next book in the series and was surprised that his latest book was not the next in the Chronicles of the Nephilim series but the first book in a new series. It was reminiscent of those who say that other passages from the New Testament, (eg, I Cor12,14, etc.), are invalid since the time of the first century of Christ or 70 AD!!! Overall I give the book three stars and is worth the read, even though the concluding chapters tend to flounder.I’ve been enthralled with Brian Godawa’s book series Chronicles of the Nephilim. The author's diminishing of Paul's warning, in Eph.6, of what we are wrestling with, saying that passage is no longer valid, (since 70 AD at least) was strange, if not wacky. Now the negative: Towards the end of the book, especially the last two chapters, he tends to flounder in his belief of Satan's influence in our culture under the New Covenant then seems to be unsure whether he believes supernatural evil is or is not impacting the culture of today as much as under the Old Covenant. As a pastor and a student of scripture I appreciate that. He brings out some good ideas and possible explanations to this mysterious psalm that many would agree with him about. He obviously loves God and loves to dig out scripture. The author starts well with some of his study of Psalm 82. I can't thank them enough for their insight. Brian Godawa along with Michael Heiser have made see biblical interpretation through the Book of Enoch's explanation.now I understand more of the mysteries surrounding the SONS OF GOD, AZAZEL, THE NEPHILIM, THE FORBIDDEN ARTS, THE FLOOD, BABEL, THE 70 NATIONS, etc. It was because of evangelical pastors that I wouldn't read the Book of Enoch, and they are the reason also that I became a "judge" against it. A lot of our spiritual ignorance is due to pastors misleading us, but it's also our fault for not reading the Word consistently and year after year. Pastors don't seem to have the answers for my questions, and then, often times strive to instill an explanation not coherent with the Bible. I have gone from one church to another in search of truth, and just when I think I've found truth, (mind you, I've been asking the Lord in prayer to lead me to His truth and to not let me fall into spiritual dormancy nor into men's doctrines), the Lord pulls me in a different direction. I have read the entire bible ten times.different versions, english and spanish, and recently in the last two years, bibles with hebrew integration. Get this booklet and you’ll find the answers that will open up a storyline in the Bible that will change your life. The Inheritance of the Nations And all of this will be accomplished through Messiah, who would take back the nations from the Watchers. As a result God promises to punish them by taking away their immortality. The Watchers rule unjustly and become false gods. The Judgment of the Watchers But then God gives the Gentile nations over to be ruled by some of these divine beings, who are also called Watchers. The Divine Council of the Gods First, Godawa examines the amazing Biblical truth that God has a myriad of divine beings that surround his throne, counsel with God, and carry out his decisions. This booklet is author Godawa’s biblical proof for the narrative he follows in his two best-selling series Chronicles of the Nephilim and Chronicles of the Apocalypse.
